Crystal Palace's Puncheon charged of carrying weapons

A footballer of English Premier League (EPL) club Crystal Palace has been charged with carrying a weapon after a fight near a Surrey nightclub.

According to a BBC report, midfielder Jason Puncheon was arrested following disturbance near the Mishiko bar on Church Street, Reigate in London.

The report stated that he was arrested in the early hours of Sunday.

The 31-year old was allegedly carrying an offensive weapon and was charged of causing fear or provocation of violence.

Puncheon has been released on bail to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court on January 5.

There has been no statement from the club.
