Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday announced the government has increased the number of academic faculty positions at SCERT and DIETs.
"Delhi government has increased the number of academic faculty positions at State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) from around 240 currently to over 600 to enable these institutions to better serve their objectives," Sisodia said on Wednesday.
The government, he said, is also restructuring the SCERT by upgrading the posts from 509 to 1,295 posts and will recasting the pay scale and designations across the organisation at par with NCERT, according to UGC guidelines, the Delhi government said in a statement.
