Expressing concern over the growing number of aspiring engineering and medical students committing suicides in Rajasthan's Kota district, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday advised students not to panic and urged parents against pressurising their wards.
"I want to tell the students that no failure is permanent. Do not give up. We are all proud of you. You must work hard and have courage, success will surely come to you in some form," Gandhi said on Facebook.
"Children work very hard, the lesser the pressure on them, the better," added Gandhi, in his plea to parents.
Considered to be the country's coaching hub, Kota in 2018 alone witnessed more than 15 students committing suicides.--IANS
