Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his suicide note, a 50-year-old businessman hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his house here, police said Saturday. The cause was said to be depression over family discord.

The body of Radheyshyam Prasad was spotted by his wife at Burari area in north Delhi Saturday morning.

Police said a note which recovered from his room congratulated Modi for becoming prime minister and also accused his wife for diverting his children's sympathy towards their maternal uncle.

A relative told police that Prasad and his wife use to fight frequently on family matters.
