Tamil Nadu's DMK on Thursday said it does not agree with contents of the interview of its spokesperson T.K.S.Elangovan to an English daily, particularly about the party's plans for the next assembly election.
In a statement issued here, the party said it is unacceptable that those in party headquarters give such "irresponsible" interviews and news.
In an interview published in the daily, Elangovan had said the party would contest at least in 170 out of 234 assembly constituencies in the next elections.
The DMK, in the statement, said the party does not agree with views expressed by Elangovan in his interview and the views attributed to Elangovan in the interview are entirely wrong.
