Ukrainian football club Shakhtar Donetsk was eliminated from the UEFA Europa League Round-of-32 after a 1-2 aggregate defeat to Spanish outfit Celta Vigo at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv.
The game played on Thursday produced no goals in the first 90 minutes, but Iago Aspas' penalty in the injury time handed the Spanish team a 1-0 lead, reports Xinhua news agency.
As Shakhtar led 1-0 in the first leg, the extra time was needed to decide on the winner.
On the 108th minute, Gustavo Cabral scored with a powerful header for Celta, giving his team a 2-1 aggregate tally.
With the elimination of Shakhtar, Ukraine was left without a single team in the European club football tournaments this season.
