Dynamo Kiev beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 to win the Ukrainian Cup for the first time in seven years.
Dynamo took control of the match Thursday night from the very beginning and scored the first goal in the 40th minute after an own goal from Shakhtar defender, Alexandr Kucher, reports Xinhua.
Only three minutes later the "blue-whites" doubled the lead through Domagoj Vida, whose header hit the net of Shakhtar goalkeeper Andrey Piatov.
The team from Donetsk scored a goal in the 57th minute, when Douglas Costa shot into the right corner of the net past Dynamo veteran goalkeeper Shovkovsky.
Shakhtar secured the Ukrainian Premier League title for the fifth year in a row April 11.
