An Egyptian embassy employee succumbed to his injuries here four days after he was hit by a speeding Delhi Police crane, police said Tuesday.
James Somol, 57, a resident of Vasant Kunj, was hit by a traffic police crane in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri area Nov 14.
He was rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he died Monday.
Somol's son claimed police registered a case regarding the incident, but they did not mention the name of the accused driver, constable Yashpal, in the First Information Report.
Senior police officers were tight lipped over the issue and said the matter was being investigated.
