Former Manchester City footballer Elano has revealed a desire to return to his former club Santos.
The 33-year-old said he had met with his good friend Robinho, currently on loan at Santos from AC Milan, about the prospect of rejoining the Brazilian club, reports Xinhua.
"I met up with Robinho and we spoke about it. I'm very keen to play for Santos again," Elano told TV Tribuna Monday.
"I'm free. It would be special to play there because Santos is my team in Brazil. I'm open to talks."
Elano is a free agent after a successful three-month stint with Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Chennaiyin FC.
He was the competition's leading scorer with eight goals despite missing more than a month with a calf injury.
Capped 50 times for Brazil, Elano has won five trophies in two separate spells at Santos.
