Five persons suffered minor injuries on Wednesday when they were hit by a car driven by a boy in west Delhi, police said.
"The accused, a resident of Ordnance Apartment in Vikaspuri, has been apprehended. He seems to be a minor, although we are crosschecking his educational certificates to know his exact age," Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said.
Police said the accident occurred around 3.30 p.m. in front of Brotherhood Apartments in Vikaspuri.
Police said the injured Anil Kapoor, 48, Manoj Tyagi, 47, Jatin, 46, Raj Kumar, 40, and Sonu, 19, are residents of Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri. They were admitted in Mata Chanan Devi Hospital.
The victims received minor injuries. In their statements, they said a Toyota Corola car driven by the boy recklessly hit them while two of them were tavelling in a cycle rickshaw and three were walking by the roadside.
