Friends tried to keep Gomez, Bieber apart?

Singer-actress Selena Gomez's reunion with Justin Bieber has left her friends worried. They reportedly tried everything to keep the couple apart.

Gomez and Bieber dated for two years before calling it quits in January. However, the duo reunited a few days back, as indicated by a cosy picture of them posted online by Bieber.

However, Gomez's friends gave their best in avoiding their patch-up, thesun.co.uk reports.

"We did everything we could to keep them apart but he was so persistent. It's really unhealthy they have such a turbulent relationship at such a young age. He constantly leaves her in a flood of tears," a friend said.

Gomez's close friends are concerned about her and will continue making efforts to separate them.

"She has had a really difficult year or so dealing with the tense emotions that come with dating him. We thought she had finally broken free. But he has persuaded her to take him back again. There's not much we can do about it - but we are going to try," the friend said.
