FC Barcelona's German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen cast doubts on his future at the Catalan football club, saying he has "personal goals" amid reports on a possible move to Liverpool, the British media reported.
The 23-year-old was in terrific form on Tuesday when his national team thrashed Italy 4-1 in a friendly match at the Allianz Arena, reports Efe.
Ter Stegen on Wednesday admitted that his future is in the hands of Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, as the Liverpool links are growing stronger, according to the Daily Mail.
"I don't know what the coach (Enrique) thinks, you have to ask him. I can just say that I want to give my very best," ter Stegen said.
"I hope we reach the next round in the Champions League and win our next game in the league - these are my goals with the team," the player noted, adding that "obviously I also have personal goals."
The German goalkeeper has been second choice for Enrique since joining the club, while 32-year-old Chilean Claudio Bravo is first choice for La Liga.
