Rail traffic on the important Delhi-Lucknow route was hit for hours on Friday after three carriage vans of a goods train derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly city, officials said.
Officials said the derailment took place near the Chanehati railway station.
The incident held up more than two dozen trains for more than three hours. Traffic was only restored in the evening after the derailed vans were delinked and separated from the good train which was moved to Sitapur.
