Konkan Railway has terminated two trains mid-journey and cancelled another following derailment of two wagons and the brake van of a goods train in Karnataka on Tuesday evening, an official said.
The derailment occurred between the Ankola and Gokarna stations, a railway spokesperson said, adding that the 70106 Mangalore-Madgaon DEMU was terminated at Udupi railway station, while the 56641 Madgaon-Mangalore passenger train was terminated at Karwar Railway station.
"The 22635 Madgaon-Mangalore Intercity has also been cancelled and the 12134 Mangalore-Mumbai CSTM Express which was scheduled to leave Mangalore at 10.45 p.m. will be delayed by six hours," the spokesperson said.
