The government, in a bid to promote yoga, is sending text messages to people on their mobile phones across the country ahead of the International Yoga Day on Sunday.
The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), which has been tasked with conducting the first International Yoga Day, is going all out to promote it.
Text messages reading, "Practice Yoga: It works on the body, mind, emotions and energy. Live life to its full potential", along with messages on other benefits of yoga, have been sent to mobile phones in every nook and corner of the country.
The ministry is expecting over 200 million people from cities, towns and villages across the country to perform yoga on June 21.
