Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday announced a number of programmes to promote yoga, AYUSH and traditional games.
Yoga training would be imparted in all schools, colleges and universities, he said.
"A yoga and naturopathy institute of international level would be set up in Panchkula," he added.
"Yoga 'shalas' would be set up in each village. In the first phase, more than 1,000 centres would be set up this year. Apart from yoga, training in five regional games would also be provided."
Khattar said that all primary health centres would have a unit of AYUSH and Shri Krishna Ayurvedic Government College would be upgraded as AYUSH university.
"Yoga coaches, teachers and 'anganwadi' workers would be imparted training at Patanjali Yogapeeth in Haridwar and refresher courses will be conducted for ayurvedic doctors."
A state-level function will be organised on June 21 in Karnal at which Khattar would be the chief guest and about 21,000 yoga trainees would participate in it.
The chief minister said more than 100,000 people will perform yoga across the state on International Yoga Day on Sunday.
