The camp was held in the office premises of corporate consultant multinational Deloitte here in DLF phase-2.

The camp was attended among others by Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Maheshwar Dayal, Assistant Commissioner of Police (DLF) Bhupinder Singh and female executives of the company.

"It was organised to tell the women workers of their rights and security tips," Bhupinder Singh told IANS.

"To boost up the security of working women was the major concern," Singh added.

Women were told by police officials "not to tolerate any incident of eve-teasing, harassment or molestation. Instead of giving bypass to such happenings or ignoring them, victim must come forward with complaint".

The women executives told police that they feared for their security, especially when travelling during night time.

They also said that eve-teasing and lewd comments in the public transport like buses, cabs and autos were cause of concern.

"Women feel insecure on the roads of Delhi as well as Gurgaon but they remain more concerned regarding national capital," a senior police officer said.

After security, parking space problems was another big issue for women who travel in their vehicles.

"We have taken lots of steps to insure the security of women by increasing the number of female cops on the roads. Five women PCR (police control rooms) vans will take necessary steps, if needed," said another police officer who attended the camp.
