Following the footsteps of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, actress Hiba Nawab, who plays Amaya Mathur in "Tere Sheher Mein", has recorded a song for her own track in the drama show.
The character of Amaya is quite similar to the one that Alia played in her debut film "Student of the Year".
Hiba has sung the reprised version of the show's title track, which has originally been sung and composed by singer Shantanu Mukherjee.
"I didn't believe I can sing till the makers of the show convinced me of my singing capabilities. They encouraged me and I agreed to record a song in the studio and it turned out quite well.
"The team was very happy. The song will now be used for Amaya's character in the coming episodes, the moment Amaya - Mantu track begins," Hiba said in a statement.
"Tere Sheher Mein" is aired on Star Plus.

When Sandeep Anand's luggage went missing?
Actor Sandeep Anand, who plays Betal in the new historical comedy show "Betal Aur Sinhasan Battisi", lost his belongings during his recent visit to Varanasi.
While on his way to promote the show, Sandeep experienced a hiccup once he landed in the city and found that his luggage had gone missing. However, he was lucky that his costume of Betaal was found safe and intact with his make-up artist.
Sandeep went about his job and later visited a local market to pick up some clothes which he could use till he got back his suitcase from the airline staff.
"It was an unforgettable experience as this happened with me for the very first time. I was a bit worried not to find my luggage but soon everything was okay once I went to the local market to pick up some traditional clothing which help me fit the part in Varanasi," Sandeep said in a statement.
"Betal Aur Sinhasan Battisi" is aired on SAB TV.

Abhay Bhargava to be Karan's off screen father-in-law too
Actor Abhay Bhargava, who plays Mr. Iyer, father-in-law of Raman Bhalla (essayed by Karan Patel) in popular soap opera "Ye Hai Mohabbatein", will soon be his father-in-law in real life too!
Karan is tying the knot with Abhay's daughter Ankita.
Abhay says his soon to be son-in-law didn't meet his daughter on the show set. In fact, the duo had first met at a party at his home.
"My daughter Ankita has never visited our set. I had thrown a party for the 'Ye Hai Mohabbatein' cast at home recently, that was when Karan and she met," Abhay said in a statement.
Abhay added that Aly Goni, another of his co-stars on the show, suggested that Karan and Ankita are "perfect for each other".
He said: "Aly spoke to Karan's parents, who saw Ankita's picture and within an hour they got back to us saying they wanted her to be their daughter-in-law. I am aware of Karan's past but I know that his good qualities outdo the bad ones, so I'm happy."
"Ye Hai Mohabbatein" is aired on Star Plus.
