Indonesian men's doubles pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan won the final match of the 22nd World Badminton Championships here on Sunday after thrashing their lower seeded opponents from China.
Hendra and Ahsan, seeded No.3, ended the match against the No.9 Chinese pairing Liu Xiaolong and Qiu Zihan in two straight games lasting for 37 minutes with scores of 21-17 and 21- 14, reports Xinhua.
The Indonesian pair was the only finalist from the host country and seized the championship.
China dominateD the tournament as its defending champions in men's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles managed to retain their respective crowns.
