Infosys net up 28.6 percent in second quarter

Infosys Ltd. Friday reported net profit of Rs.3,096 crore for second quarter (July-September) of the fiscal 2014-15, posting 28.6 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth and 7.3 percent sequentially.

In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the IT bellwether said consolidated revenue increased 2.9 percent YoY to Rs.13,342 crore and 4.5 percent sequentially for the quarter (Q2) under review.

Under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), net income grew 6 percent YoY to $511 million and gross revenue 6.5 percent to $ 2.2 billion for the quarter.
