The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Wednesday authorised party president Om Prakash Chautala to decide on the issue of merger with the Janata Parivar.
At a meeting of the national and state executive of the INLD held in Sirsa town on Wednesday, party leaders supported the idea of the merger.
INLD general secretary Abhay Chautala said the leaders authorised the party president to take a call on the merger.
The INLD is the main opposition party in Haryana.
