The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Thursday announced its second list of 11 candidates for the assembly elections in Haryana.
The names of 62 candidates for the polls due in October were announced Aug 1. Haryana has 90 assembly seats.
INLD state president Ashok Arora and general secretary and Ellenabad legislator Abhay Singh Chautala announced the names at a press conference here.
Choudhary Rao Bahadur Singh, party legislator from Nangal, will now contest from Mahendragarh, while former legislator from Taoru, Zakir Husain, who contested the Lok Sabha election from Gurgaon, will contest from Nuh.
"We will announce the candidates for the rest 17 seats soon," Chautala said.
The main contest will be between the ruling Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party-Haryana Janhit Congress (BJP-HJC) alliance and the INLD. The Aam Aadmi Party has announced that it will not contest the assembly polls.
In the Lok Sabha election, the BJP won seven seats, the INLD won two and the Congress managed to win one seat. All candidates of the AAP lost their security deposit.
