The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is expected to take the final decision on allowing Russian athletes to the Rio Olympic Games in the next 24 hours, reports said on Monday.
The IOC had appointed a three-member panel to deliver the final decision which is expected to come by August 2, according to Sputnik, reports Xinhua.
"I hope that today or tomorrow all the formalities for the admission of the team will be completed, and the team will go from nervous to working condition," Russian Sport Minister Vitaly Mutko was quoted as saying on Monday.
"I hope that the (team) will get it together and begin to prepare seriously. Our support for them is absolutely guaranteed."
