A new round of expert talks between Iran and the P5+1 group will start Tuesday in New York to discuss Tehran's nuclear energy programme, head of Iran's nuclear negotiating team Hamid Baeidinejad said Monday.
Experts from Iran and the P5 or the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- the US, China, Russia, France and Britain -- plus Germany will hold a fresh round of talks May 6-7, Press TV quoted Baeidinejad as saying.
The talks are being held in New York as the negotiating delegations are already in New York for the ongoing third session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
The session commenced April 28 and will continue till May 9 at the UN office in New York.
