Actor Jamie Dornan is in talks to play Will Scarlet in "Robin Hood: Origins".
The film will be directed by Otto Bathurst from a script by Joby Harold, reports variety.com.
"Robin Hood: Origins" -- set in the Sherwood Forest -- follows the title hero as he returns from the Crusades and forms a band of outlaws to fight corruption.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson are producing the film through their Appian Way banner with Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell backing it through their Safehouse Productions and Basil Iwanyk supporting it through his Thunder Road Pictures.
Actor Taron Egerton will play the title role, Eve Hewson will depict Maid Marian and Jamie Foxx will portray Little John.
