A Mobile Kitchen will be launched in Jharkhand from November which will provide lunch at Rs 5, a senior official said on Friday.
The Mobile Kitchen, which will move in a vehicle, would be launched in six districts -- Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Deoghar and Dhanbad, said Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Jharkhand Food, Civil and Supply department secretary in a press conference here.
The concept of Mobile Kitchen is to provide lunch to both sellers and buyers at weekly markets or other market places in urban areas. The vehicle with rice, pulses and vegetables will move around and anyone can have lunch for Rs 5.
"All the 370 Dal Bhaat Kendras will be developed as a model lunch system," he said.
Chaube also said that 80 per cent people are covered under the Food Security Act (FSA).
