Southern actress Sanchita Shetty, who rose to stardom with her performance in Tamil crime-comedy "Soodhu Kavvum", wants to star in the remake of the film in other southern languages as well.
The remake rights of "Soodhu Kavvum" have already been bought and it is being remade in Telugu and Kannada.
"If given an opportunity, I would love to star in the remakes. It's one of the films I can never disassociate myself from. I have already been approached by the producer of its Telugu remake, but I'm more interested in Kannada version as it's my mother tongue," Sanchita told IANS.
Sanchita's imaginary character in "Soodhu Kavvum" was received very well by the audience. The story was about four misfit kidnappers.
One of the biggest hits of the year, "Soodhu Kavvum" is currently being remade in Hindi as well. Rohit Shetty will be producing the film with Imran Khan in the lead.
Meanwhile Sanchita is awaiting the release of Tamil horror-thriller "Pizza 2: Villa".
