Thousands of commuters returning home had a harrowing time as Metro services were disrupted between Central and Rabindra Sadan stations here late on Tuesday evening following a fire at an electrical sub-station.
There were, however, no casualties or injuries.
The fire at the sub-station outside Rabindra Sadan metro station as noticed around 8.45 p.m. Services on both up and down lines between Rabindra Sadan and Central stations were stopped soon after as a safety measure, metro source said.
Truncated Services were run in the north between Central and Dum Dum and in the south between Jatin Das Park and Kabi Subhas.
