Actor Kunal Kapoor and actor-comedian Cyrus Sahukar, who have been friends for over two decades, are all set to take viewers on a picturesque journey of a trip they took together for the forthcoming second season of "Great Escape". They are enthused to plan another trip soon.
While the first season of the show, "Kalki's Great Escape", witnessed actress Kalki Koechlin and her father Joel Koechlin on a bike journey through Northeast India, the second season titled "Great Escape with Kunal and Cyrus" will showcase the two actors travelling from Dharamsala to Kaza discovering the Andretta Artist Village, Rampur and Rakcham Valley, besides many more such locations.
The show will be aired on Fox Life starting from June 23.
"Cyrus and I have known each other for 22 years. We have been planning a trip together since a long time. I thought this was the best opportunity to make it happen. When I heard about this trip, the first person that came to my mind was Cyrus," Kunal told IANS.
"Due to our hectic lives, we don't get a chance to go somewhere. Here, we didn't do anything usual. We travelled 1,000 kms in a car. Even though it is a show, it includes personal time as well. I am so glad that we got a chance to be part of this trip and do such wonderful things.
"It's something that I'd like to do again for sure. I would love to go on a holiday with Cyrus again. Often you go on a trip with someone and feel like killing that person in between after getting bored. But Cyrus and I didn't have any disagreement in 10 days," he added.
During their trip, Kunal and Cyrus got a chance to do cliff jumping, trekking, river rafting and para-gliding.
"It was a trip which was very special because of the route that we covered from McLeod Ganj to Spiti Valley. Then I got a chance to travel with one of my friends in the world, Kunal," Cyrus told IANS.
"There were no apprehensions at all. The journey with Kunal was really beautiful. I would love to do something like this again with him," he said.
