The Madras High Court on Monday ordered the submission of video footage of the February 18 proceedings of the Tamil Nadu assembly, when Chief Minister K.Palaniswami sought and secured the trust vote in the assembly.
DMK Working President M.K.Stain had filed a case challenging the trust vote and as it came up for hearing, the court directed the Assembly Secretary to submit the video of the assembly proceedings of February 18 and posted the next hearing for March 10.
In another case relating to display of pictures of late Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa and naming of government schemes after her, the court issued notice to the Tamil Nadu government.
The state government has been asked to submit a report by March 20.
