Expressing happiness over the Rajya Sabha passing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday demanded that small businesses should remain under single control of the states in the new tax regime.
"We (Trinamool Congress) have consistently supported the idea and implementation of GST. Good constitutional amendment was passed today (Wednesday)," Banerjee tweeted.
"Now in GST Bill all states want to give relief to micro and small businesses which must remain under single control of the states," she wrote in another tweet.
