Man kills mother, brother over land dispute in Bihar

A man killed his mother and brother and seriously injured another brother owing to a dispute over ancestral land in Bihar's Arwal district on Sunday, police said.

Krishna killed his mother Malti Devi, 65, and brother Dinesh Sah, 30, in Pondil village in Kurtha police station jurisdiction with a sharp iron rod. Pondil police station incharge Lakhmi Narain Sudhanshu said Krishna absconded after the crime.

While Malti and Dinesh died on the way to hospital, Krishna's seriously injured younger brother, whose name could not be known, was admitted to an area hospital. Later, he was shifted to Patna, Arwal Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailender Kumar said.
