Manav starts as favourite in National Rotax Max Championship

Defending champion Manav Sharma will start as the favourite in the Senior Max category when the 14th edition of the Meco Motorsports FMSCI National Rotax Max Championship starts here on Saturday.

As many as 40 young racers from India and abroad will be seen in action at the Chicane Circuit.

BPC Racing's Manav, however, faces stiff competition from a number of talented racers, led by Chennai's Nirmal Umashankar and Sreyas Jain. Nirmal finished second last year and will be hoping to go all the way this time.

The Junior Max category will see Chirag Ghorpade of Bengaluru (BPC Racing) and Yash Aradhya of Bengaluru (Meco) as the frontrunners.

Shahan Ali Mohsin of Agra, the Asia Max Karting Champion who is also the current Micro Max champion, has also progressed into the Junior Max category.
