Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Rahul Gandhi met former Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa here on Thursday.
Congress leader Anand Sharma was present at the meeting but no details of the discussions were immediately available.
Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister when Sri Lanka, then led by Rajapaksa, crushed the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009, ending almost three decades of ethnic conflict that cost thousands of lives.
On Wednesday, Rajapaksa, accompanied by his son, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also delivered a speech at an event organised by the Virat Hindustan Sangam led by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy.
