The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Monday opened on a higher note during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 26,897.84 points touched a high of 26,901.42 points and a low of 26,843.09 points.
On Friday the sensex closed at 26,843.03 points.
The Sensex is trading at 26,880.47 points up 37.44 points or 0.14 per cent.
On the other hand the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange NSE) opened at 8,228.75 points after closing at 8,220.80 points on Friday.
The Nifty is trading at 8,225.30 points in the morning.
