Singer-songwriter Miguel was arrested here on suspicion of drunken driving and later released on bail.
A spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol said the 27-year-old was pulled over just after 2 a.m. Thursday for speeding and driving with tinted windows, reports accesshollywood.com.
She said the officers administered field sobriety tests, and a preliminary test measured his blood alcohol level at 0.10 percent, while the state's legal limit is 0.08 percent.
He was taken to a nearby police station, where he was released a couple of hours later after posting $5,000 bail.
Miguel won the Grammy for best R&B song earlier this year for "Adorn".
Miguel Jontel Pimentel, spokeswoman for the singer, did not comment on the arrest.
