A skeleton of a minor was found inside the ground water tank in an under construction house here, police said Thursday.
The house owner, a woman, was on the run after the skeleton was discovered by a labourer inside the water tank of the house in West Vinod Nagar in east Delhi Thursday morning.
Police said a relative of the owner claimed the skeleton was of their son who went missing for the past five years. The shoes of the boy were also recovered inside the tank.
"We have sent the skeleton for the forensic examination. The claims were being examined," said a police officer.
The five-year-old Himanshu had gone missing when he came to the same house which is owned by his aunt.
Himanshu's father Shrichand told the police that that his son had gone to see Ramlila, but he did not return home. Shrichand's sister, Munni Devi, who is now on the run, had then denied seeing Himanshu.
