I-League winners Mohun Bagan settled for a draw in their second consecutive match of the Calcutta Football league (CFL) with Sports Authority of India (SAI), Eastern Zone, holding them goalless at the Barasat Stadium here on Thursday.
Koushik Sarkar of SAI was named Man of the Match.
Mohun Bagan started on a positive note with a few good runs in the opponent penalty box and were awarded a penalty in the 16th minute as midfielder Ram Malik was brought down.
However, experienced midfielder Lal Kamal Bhowmick missed the spot kick, as goalkeeper Santanu Ghosal thwarted away his weak effort.
Mohunb Bagan goalkeeper Debjit Majumder, on the other end, also stood strong like a wall, to save whatever the SAI forwards had to offer and stopped his team from conceding.
Both sides, especially Mohun Bagan, created a lot of opportunities to seal the deal but squandered their chances, some very easy ones.
