Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday renewed the contract of head coach Andre Schubert for another two football seasons until June 2019.
The club's sporting director Max Eberl said in a statement that "Andre is doing some really good work here", reports Efe.
"He has given the team Champions League football and we have picked up 65 points from the 34 Bundesliga matches that he's been in charge. That is an outstanding record," he declared.
Schubert, 45, whose contract was to expire at the end of this season, joined Monchengladbach in July 2015 as coach of the under-23 team and initially assumed the role of coach of the first team on September 21 that year.
After six wins and a draw in the Bundesliga and qualifying for the Champions League, Schubert signed in November last year a contract with the club as head coach.
