Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday said the National Cadet Corps (NCC) will undergo an expansion soon.
Parrikar, talking to the NCC cadets on Thursday, shared with them "useful tips on how to make the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign a success", an official statement said.
"The NCC is on the verge of undergoing major expansion as the demand for its expansion is huge," Parrikar said.
The minister also complimented the staff of NCC and all the cadets for their hard work and dedication, saying the NCC could play a very crucial role in nation-building by grooming the youth as future leaders.
NCC on Thursday got a certificate from Limca Book of Records for the largest yoga performance simultaneously by a single uniformed youth organisation.
