The Uttar Pradesh government Tuesday approved a police modernisation package for Noida, a sprawling suburb of Delhi, an official said.
Under the project, four police stations, five fire stations, one cyber police station and a forensic lab will be constructed in Noida.
The state cabinet, at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, approved the plan.
The police stations would be equipped with the latest state-of-art equipment.
An official told IANS that the police stations would be constructed at the Knowledge Park, Phase I, Eco-1, Eco-3 and at the Noida Expressway.
