Three classical dances of India -- Odissi, Kuchipudi and Kathak -- came together at the Triveni Kala Sangam on Saturday, as young dancers performed in front of a gathering of celebrated danseuses Birju Maharaj, Raja and Radha Reddy, Kaushalya Reddy, Sharon Lowen and Monalisa Ghosh.
The event 'Samsrava', organised by Manasija Dance School, had Odissi dancers Arunima Ghosh and Madhur Gupta perform, followed by Yamini Reddy and Bhavana Reddy showcasing the tale of Hindu deities Shiv-Parvati through Kuchipudi dance, the organisers said.
The event concluded with a Kathak performance by Ragini Maharaj and Tribhuwan Maharaj "where they presented the story of Ardh-Narishwar", the statement said.
