The death toll in Philippine typhoon Goni has risen to 14, the state disaster management agency said on Sunday.
At least 11 others were injured and three remained missing, Xinhua quoted the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) as saying.
Over 33,000 were evacuated in five regions in Philippines due to the rough weather.
The state weather forecasting agency said typhoon Goni, with maximum sustained winds of 140 km per hour near the centre and gusts of up to 170 kmph, has maintained its strength as it moves away from the country.
Locally known as Ineng, the typhoon is expected to leave the country by Tuesday.
