A police station and the US consulate were attacked in the early hours of Monday in Turkey's largest city of Istanbul, the media reported.
A bomb attack ripped through the police station in Istanbul's Sultanbeyli neighbourhood and caused a fire that brought down part of the three-storey building. The blast injured five police officers and two civilians, Al Jazeera reported citing state-run Anadolu News Agency.
Hours after the attack on the station, two assailants opened fire at the US consulate, leading to an exchange of fire between assailants and security personnel.
There were no reports of any casualties.
The attackers fled the scene.
