Ahead of the must-win clash against Hungary at the Euro 2016 football championship, Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo threw a reporter's microphone into a lake when asked if he was prepared for the game while out for a walk with his team-mates.
The reporter from Portuguese news channel CMTV asked the Real Madrid forward if he was ready for the tie. Ronaldo responded by grabbing the microphone and throwing it into the lake, Sky Sports reported on Wednesday.
Portugal are without a win at Euro 2016 and could face elimination if they do not beat Hungary in their third and last match in Group F.
It has been a frustrating tournament for Ronaldo, who has failed to score from 20 shots. He criticised Iceland for having a "small-time mentality" after a 1-1 draw and then missed a penalty in the goalless stalemate with Austria.
Portugal head coach Fernando Santos revealed the penalty miss had been playing on Ronaldo's mind.
"Cristiano hasn't been able to sleep. On Sunday, I was one of the first up and he was already awake. He's a winner and his experience will help him bounce back," Santos said.
"If there is a penalty in the next game, Cristiano Ronaldo will take it and he will score."
