President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday paid tributes to late Shankar Dayal Sharma, former president of India, on his birth anniversary, a statement said.
"The president, officers and staff paid floral tributes in front of a portrait of Shankar Dayal Sharma in the Durbar Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of his birth anniversary," said the statement.
Born in 1918, Sharma was the ninth president of India and remained in office from 1992 to 1997. He passed away in 1999.
