President Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the 13th Annual Convention of the Central Information Commission (CIC) here on Friday, a statement from his office said on Thursday.
"The Convention shall deliberate on three specific subjects -- Data privacy and Right to Information, Amendment in the RTI Act and Implementation of the RTI Act," the statement said.
The annual convention is aimed at recommending measures for improving transparency and accountability with a view to "improve governance", it said.
Along with RTI activists, all the current and former Chief Information Commissioners and Information Commissioners of the CIC, State Information Commission, Central public information officers will participate in the convention, it added.
