Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Saturday met the family members of Indian Air Force's (IAF) Akhilesh Kumar Singh who was among the 20 people killed in Tuesday's chopper crash in Uttarakhand.
Gandhi arrived in Amethi and drove to Singh's house and met the father, wife and children of the junior warrant officer.
Gandhi also attended the cremation and is said to have assured all help to the family.
The Indian Air Force chopper had crashed June 25 during a rescue mission in Uttarakhand, killing all the 20 people on board.
