Rs.2 lakh compensation for families of quake dead

The central government on Sunday announced a compensation of Rs.2 lakh each to the families of those killed in the earthquake across India.

"The government of India has announced compensation of Rs.2 lakh each, to families of those who lost their lives in yesterday's (Saturday) earthquake across parts of India," an official statement said.
