Rs 69 lakh looted from Jharkhand bank

Unidentified masked criminals looted Rs 69 lakh at gunpoint from a Bank of Baroda branch in Jharkhand's Jamtara district on Friday.

According to police, four criminals wearing masks entered the bank situated under Mihijam locality, around 350 km from Ranchi, looted the cash and escaped. Before leaving, the criminals damaged the CCTV.

The criminals had entered the bank when it was opened in the morning. There was no customer inside the bank and all the bank officials had not arrived.

The police have launched an operation to arrest the criminals.
